![]() I was practically cheering for one of my female teammates as she slapped the ball away from her opponent and did a monster dunk trash talking the entire time. ![]() They chatter a good bit and they have enough canned phrases and voices to surprise you every now and then. What I like is all of the personality, turn off the announcer (you can switch to just music tracks or turn all of that off completely) and listen to your teammates as they play. A team with 3 MJ's would be pretty cool!Ĭel-shaded or not, the game has a very unique comic/urban art look that I just adore. I'm not sure how much i'll play, especially as my roommie is terrible at video games, and the single player seems sort of repetetive. It was a total impulse buy for me (RTCW hadn't hit the store yet), even though I was planning on getting it. It's not a bad upgrade to the original, and if you don't want to play the original anymore, you might want to consider getting it. However, the announcer seems a tad more annoying, and the girl's voice (serving it up!) announcing the dunks is gone. What is nice about the game is the cel-shading. park a big man with good blocking in front of the basket and swat dunks and 3 pointers like there's no tomorrow. My strategy is the same as for the first one. I haven't played it too much, though, so we'll see how it goes. I'm not sure if this is nostalgia + controller or what, but street 2 seems to lack the excitement (then again, this may be because i'm sort of dreading having to beat every team and their mother to get all the secrets). ![]() Overall, I think I like the original better. I was taking a look at a strategy guide in eb, too, and I think more dunks are possible with the ps2 version. doesn't beging to compare with the 4 button ps2 layout). Graphics may be better on the xbox, but the controller is hard to use (only three turbo buttons, one of which is left controller click. no live support. If you have ps2 and xbox, i'd highly recommend getting it for the ps2. ![]()
